For the big Porter’s Daisy bloom this September, the Arabia Alliance has planned multiple walks, a paint and sip class, and yoga among the flowers.

DD Walks, September, 3, 10, 17, & 24
Tuesdays throughout September, the Arabia Alliance will have Daisy Days Walks where participants can enjoy and photograph the beautiful Helianthus porteri, or Porter’s Sunflower – known as the yellow “daisy” of the Monadnocks! Each Tuesday staff from the Arabia Alliance will meet in a different location to seek and find these rare, yellow beauties native to the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area and few other places in the world.

DD Yoga Experience, Sunday, September 8, 10-11:30am
Join the Arabia Alliance and Jess Pfeffer, RYT + MHC cultivator of connections through holistic events, for a Daisy Days Yoga Experience in the Davison-Arabia Mountain Nature Preserve. Unroll your yoga mats on the smooth, sun-warmed rock, and feel the connection to the earth beneath you.
Jess begins the session with a grounding meditation, inviting you to breathe deeply and let go of any tension. As you move through a series of poses, you feel your body stretch and strengthen, each movement in harmony with the natural surroundings.
DD Paint & Sip at Alliance Office, Thursday, September 19, 5-7pm
Create your own Daisy Days work of art! Enjoy an evening of hors devours and specialty Daisy Days Mocktails for your enjoyment as you create. You’ll be joined by artists from The Sketching Pad, based in Old Town Conyers.
The Sketching Pad aims to enhance lives by connecting people with their own creativity, inspiring them through the arts, and encouraging them to pursue a life that is truly filled with joy. Whether you feel like you can’t draw a stick figure or you are aspiring to be a professional artist, there is a place for you at this event!
DD Hike at Panola Mountain State park, Thursday, September 26, 9am-12pm
The Arabia Alliance Staff joins the naturalist at Panola Mountain State Park for a special hike on the mountain to see the Daisy (Porter’s Sunflower) bloom! Panola Mountain is a National Natural Landmark in the National Heritage area and is a carefully preserved outcrop. Join us to see this pristine monadnock in all its Daisy Days glory!
