Wine festivals are the bomb. And speaking from experience, you don’t even need to be a wine connoisseur to enjoy one. Many of the classic Atlanta fests are in the Spring. (The Atlanta Food & Wine Festival is not until September!)
No need to wait. Head to Athens, Georgia in February for the much anticipated Athens Wine Weekend.

Wine lovers, mark your calendars! Athens Wine Weekend, one of the Classic City’s most anticipated annual events, is back February 7–9, 2025, at The Classic Center. This weekend-long celebration of fine wine and exceptional cuisine will not only tantalize your taste buds but also support a great cause.
There truly is a full weekend of events on the docket. Here’s what you can expect.
Amuse-Bouche – Friday, February 7th, 5:30pm
Kick off the weekend with a sophisticated evening of expertly crafted small bites paired with hand-selected wines. Enjoy offerings from some of Athens’ finest chefs and restaurants, including Five & Ten, The Pine Bar, South Kitchen + Bar and more. This event promises a delightful showcase of creativity and flavor, setting the tone for the festivities ahead.
Grand Tasting – Saturday, February 8, 12:30pm for VIP and 1:30 pm for General Admission
Explore a world of wine at the Grand Tasting, where attendees can sip, sample and discover a vast selection of wines from across the globe. Enhance your experience with exclusive Wine Tasting Classes, where sommeliers and experts will guide you through themes such as “Balancing Food and Wine” and “Exploring the Classic Styles of Portugal Wine.” VIP guests will enjoy early access, reserved seating and unique perks that elevate this one-of-a-kind event.
Gourmet Dinner – Saturday, February 8th, 6:30pm

Sparkling Wine Brunch – Sunday, February 9th, 11:30am
End the weekend on a bubbly note with the Sparkling Wine Brunch, featuring a sumptuous spread of brunch favorites complemented by specialty mimosas. It’s the perfect way to toast to a weekend well spent.
Tickets prices cover a wide range depending on what package you’re looking at. Act fast – they are selling out!
Proceeds benefit The Classic Center Cultural Foundation, which provides scholarships and grants for local hospitality, performing arts and visual arts initiatives.
